25 Finalists Announced for ₦1,000,000 Niger Delta Startup Seed Funding – Demo Day Set for July 25
Port Harcourt, Nigeria – As part of the 2025 Niger Delta Digital Summit, 25 of the region’s most promising startups have been shortlisted for the highly anticipated ₦1,800,000 Startup Seed Funding competition. These digital pioneers are building the future of fintech, agritech, edtech, e-commerce, and green innovation across the Niger Delta.

The competition offers ₦1,000,000 to the winner, ₦500,000 for second place, and ₦300,000 for third place — along with strategic support including co-working space from Quint Space, cloud services from Nest Hogins, and growth-focused training by the Centre for Export Development.

Incubation Program Kickoff: July 9, 2025

Demo Day & Winner Announcement: July 25, 2025, at the Niger Delta Digital Summit Main Stage

The selection process was overseen by an esteemed adjudication committee chaired by Dr. Mathew Ehikhamenle, Assistant Director at the Centre for Innovation, Technology & Enterprise (CITE). “This competition reflects the bold energy and innovation we see emerging from the grassroots. It’s not just about tech — it’s about transformation,” said Dr. Ehikhamenle.

Eligible participants hailed from the 9 Niger Delta states — Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Imo, Ondo, and Rivers — and were required to demonstrate innovation, viability, and social or economic impact.

“This isn’t just a pitch event — it’s a launchpad,” said Preston Audu-Ohwavborua, Convener of the Niger Delta Digital Summit. “We’re proud to elevate these startups into the spotlight and into the next phase of their growth journey.”
